Документація інтервенції/Documentation of intervention _2014 “Kitchen Summit” Дагни Якубовської, RMNSC, Краків, Польща / “Kitchen Summit” by Dagna Jakubowska, RMNSC, Krakow, Poland  “Kitchen Summit” Дагни Якубовської - це колаборація з українськими жінками які емігрували у Польщу у пошуці роботи, та після років перебування в тіні домоглись легалізації. У рамках проекту “Kitchen Summit” жінки готують їжу та співають для відвідувачей, в якомусь сенсі продовжуючи свою основну діяльність в Польщі, а саме працю у сфері догляду, за дітьми, старими людьми, та людьми з інвалідністю. Місцями роботи цих жінок є квартири. Місця подій “Kitchen Summit” також квартири. Власники квартир щедро відкрили свої приватні простори стороннім відвідувачам проекту. В той же час вони хочуть бути застрахованими. В такому випадку саме поліція, охорона може гарантувати безпеку. Необхідність безперервних компромісів між гостинністю і прагненням впевненості у безпеці будинку та країни управляє суспільством. У ситуації страху перед чужим, недовіри іншому, поліція та органи безпеки посилюються. Контроль поширюється, він повсюди і межа між приватним та публічним простором втрачає свою релевантність. /// The events of “Kitchen Summit” by Dagna Jakubowska involve the collaboration with Ukrainian women who migrated to Poland and after years of illegal stay they managed to change their status thanks to the decision of abolition. Within the art project the women cook and sing, and so in a way they care about the visitors. That is exactly what they do in Poland as their main occupation – they care about children, old people, disabled. Flats are their place of work. “Kitchen Summit” actions take place in flats. Apartment owners decide generously to open to strangers their private space, organized according to its unique rules and principles. At the same time they want to be secure. In such case police would guarantee security. The necessity of continuous negotiations between hospitality and the desire to ensure the safety of home and country govern society. In a situation of fear of a stranger, police and security forces grow in its power. They are everywhere, control is overwhelming and the border between inner and outer space is not relevant anymore. With the desire to be free we build the society of laws and constraints. The idea is to invite Frontex representatives or representatives of institutions providing security to attend “Kitchen Summit” events. Frontex is the border police of the European Union and has its headquarters in Warsaw. The very act to invite border police to private space is, at first glance, about dismissing conflict between them and the former illegal migrants from Ukraine (who are the core of “Kitchen Summit” project). At the same time the presence of police in apartment represents contemporary self-limited society of restrictions, laws and constraints. But the question remains: does this act – to invite police to private apartment – contain the potential of the conflict neutralization?         |
